New Eatery Plans Framingham Location In Beloved Restaurant's Former Building

A new eatery is heading to Framingham, filling the building left empty by the closure of a Chinese restaurant that stayed in business for 40 years. 

The new dumpling eatery will be located in the building formerly occupied by Uncle Cheung's.

U Dumpling House, a Chinese dumpling restaurant, is planning to open at 266 Worcester Road in Framingham, according to City of Framingham documents. 

The building was formerly occupied by Uncle Cheung's, a Chinese restaurant that opened in Framingham in 1983, according to the restaurant's Facebook page.  

U Dumpling House will have room for 85 seats and will offer full liquor drinks.

The eatery's proposed menu includes a lengthy list of options, including chicken, beef, and seafood entrees, a variety of stir-frys, and Chinese rice and noodle dishes. 

The new restaurant will perform minimal renovations to the building, planning to make only cosmetic changes. 

U Dumpling House's proposed hours are: 

  • Monday through Thursday: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Friday through Saturday:11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
